What is the CPF?
The CPF gives Members of the Party the opportunity to take part in policy discussions and get their voice heard.
It is a national Party Group that gives Members the opportunity to discuss the major policy challenges facing Britain. The CPF is chaired by Oliver Letwin, Minister for Government Policy. CPF groups are active in Constituencies in every Region and Area.
There are regular CPF briefs but groups don't have to discuss the topic that is set nationally – but if they do respond to it, there is a process through which your responses go to the relevant Conservative Minister.
How do CPF Groups work?
- CPF Groups meet throughout the year.
- Groups report back to the centre.
- Groups are encouraged to reach out to the rest of their communities to discuss their ideas.
- A compendium of the views on the set papers on future challenges will go to the relevant Conservative Minister who will then respond.
