Dear Resident
As a working mother of two boys, I know what normal daily life is like for many people. I want to continue to be part of your network and be your voice within the community.
We all want to live in a safe and clean environment. I am committed to working hard to address issues such as; speeding traffic and inconsiderate parking, ensuring close collaboration with the Council to identify and implement effective solutions.
Crime is something we are all concerned about, whether it be knife crime, burglaries, car theft or drug dealing. Drawing from my experience as a former member of the Soihull Independent Advice Group, where we worked closely with Solihull Police, advising them what current public concerns were evident, and as a street watch co-ordinator, I will work tirelessly and liaise with our partner agencies to work as a community to combat and diminish these threats to our area. A recent example is the taxi drivers parking illegally on the A45 by the old Elmdon Airport. I worked with the Police and the Council to get this illegal activity halted.
Education is also a passion of mine. Having served as a Governor for a special school in Solihull, I am aware of the issues and daily challenges that schools have to manage. I am committed to working with Elmdon schools, to offer help and support where it’s needed. I understand parents’ concerns and the importance of schooling for our children’s future.
Rest assured, I am here to listen to your concerns and act upon them. It would be a huge privilege to continue to serve you and the people of Elmdon as your Councillor. Please re-elect me on Thursday 2nd May
